This release of OnboardMe introduces a range of new features and bug fixes. The changes are outlined below.
New Features / Enhancements
General
External Links V2
The External Links function has been extended to support Engagement creation and onboarding.

When selecting Engagement (with Onboarding), a new Engagement Settings section becomes available. This allows you to configure an Engagement that will automatically be generated when a customer uses the external link. This allows you to configure an automated engagement and onboarding via the external link.

Integration Dashboards
A new Integration Dashboard has been released to give you greater control over your client linking. Whether you use XPM, Xero Ledger or MYOB Practice Management, you can now see all Clients in OnboardMe, their links to external systems, and easily connect or disconnect clients as needed.

Xero Ledger and Xero Practice Manager Client matching
We have made improvements to our Xero Client Linking process based on customer feedback.
- Xero Ledger: For Contacts you had never billed before but existed in Xero (not active customers), we were not matching them between OnboardMe and Xero.
- We have updated this process to download all Active Contacts from Xero, regardless of customer status, to enable better client matching between the two systems.
- Xero Practice Manager: We have added additional validation when creating a new client in Xero Practice Manager to first search for a client with the exact same name before creating a new client in XPM.
- Previously, if we were unable to match based on ACN, ABN, or Email + Name, we would attempt to create the client in XPM.
MYOB Practice Management Enhancements
For customers using MPM, we have made numerous enhancements to the integration after customer feedback:
- Added Office to Client Record
- Added Tax Agent to the Client Record (only available when the Require Tax Details flag is enabled). Tax Agent is required when creating a tax client in MPM so this must be set to create the client successfully.
- Linked the Require Tax Details flag in OnboardMe to the Client Tax Flag in MPM.

- Added Offices to OnboardMe, enabling firms with multiple offices in MPM to configure their allowed office list for clients.

Offices can be managed in Settings / Business on the Offices tab.
Engagements
STP Authority
We've added the ability to manage STP Authority Templates and optionally include an STP Authority when sending Engagements.
STP Templates can be managed in Templates / Terms & Authority. We have shipped with 2 standard templates which can be customised, or you can create your own version.

STP Authority Template names must be unique, if you use the same name as our template, it will hide our standard template.
When creating a new engagement, on the Terms & Authority step, you can now (optionally) select an STP Authority Template to be included in the engagement.

If selected, a new STP Authority step will appear in the Engagement for your client to review and accept.

The STP Authority will be prefilled in the Engagement using the merge fields defined in the template.
Engagement Signatures
Signature blocks can now be embedded in Engagement Terms and STP Authority.
Supported Signature blocks are [SIGNATURE:Signer] and [SIGNATURE:Business].
If used, we will create visual signature blocks on the Engagement Preview and in the Engagement PDF created.



Note: If more than one signature is requested in the Engagement, multiple Client Signature boxes will be displayed.
The Signatures are also displayed on the Engagement PDF.

NB: The Business Signatory will not be requested to sign the document, sending the engagement is the consent required to act digitally for this engagement.
Engagement Signatures have been updated with a modern design that clearly displays all required details for a digital signature.

Client Onboarding
Internal Details for MYOB Practice Management
For customers using MYOB Practice Management, we have added validation for the Client Code, Office, Tax Agent, Family Group, Partner, and Manager fields, as these are required to create a new client in MYOB.

Navigating Completed Onboardings
Once an onboarding is completed, you no longer need to click Next to move through each step. You can now click any step at the top to navigate directly to it.
